Minecraft: Can It Click To You?

Minecraft is generally different than any other game I've played. Progression is built completely different and there is no objection built in, unless you can find its hidden secrets. Yes, it may be boring at times. But the game itself is literally like a bucket of building blocks: the game is fun only if you can make it fun.

That's what makes Minecraft so unique. You have people that praise Minecraft for being such a perfectly made game. And then you have those that hate the game because it is boring, or have graphics like it came from the PSX. This game can certainly click to almost any person. But you need to find out how to make it click for you.

Suppose you are the kind of person that likes games full of action, or want to get into fights. With a 'plain' game like Minecraft, how can you get this sort of excitement? Simple: Survival Mode. In the day time, it is pretty much safe. But this only allows you to prepare for what lies ahead. At nightime, it is risky just to be away from home. And if you are underground and stumble upon a dark cavern, it is easy to get overwhelmed by enemies. In fact, it is easy to get into blood-pumping fights with enemies. And with each type of enemy, you need a different approach. It keeps the action fresh.

Suppose you are a person that likes a game for gameplay. How can a game with such 'little' core mechanics in gameplay offer so much. Simple: create or meet your fate. In order to proceed and develop, you need to get crafty. And if you pay attention a little more, you'll see that every action has a requirement. Gameplay seems dumb-down. But it is actually simplified in order to allow players to play your own way. It does not have an already-built moveset or flashy combat moves, but something more simple that can be appreciated.

Suppose you are lost in the game. You create a world and you don't know what to do. What do you do? It is not like you have an objection screen or an ally to tell you how to play. Here is a simple solution: decide for yourself! Want to defend against the monsters? Gather materials to make weapons. Want a home to stay safe in? Gather materials and make weapons. If you can think for yourself in real life and decide how you want to live, do the same in the game; yes, Minecraft is actually a life simulator.

Suppose you are bored in the game. You made a house of dirt and don't know what to do with yourself. What do you do? Take advantage of the world you are in! If you can explore in games like Skyrim, you can certainly do the same in Minecraft. The main difference is that Minecraft lets you explore underground as well, with it's own unique secrets. And if you clever enough, you can even explore whole new world, or dimensions! Plus, this game is literally like an endless supply of building blocks. Build something, anything! (but don't let the Creepers explode your creations!)

Now suppose that the game still doesn't click with you. What do you do? Well, not every game is built for everyone. Minecraft is one of the most accessible games available. But not everyone will like the same things. Yet, making an impression takes effort though. If you don't try to get creative or get involved with the game, how would you ever click with the game and like it? If you at least try to play the game and try to understand what others see in the game, it may not be so bad.
